HOW CAN WE HELP?
Skimming:
Skimming is the finishing coat of plaster that makes your walls smooth and flat. This can either be a re-skim, for example skimming over existing tired plasterwork, or skimming new work such as plasterboard or render.
Dry Lining:
This process involves lining the area (room, ceiling or both) with plasterboard either screwing into joists/stud partitioning or applying to brick/breeze block using a drywall bonding compound. This process takes much less time, creates less mess and is cheaper than using traditional sand and cement or other wet products, for example browning, tough coat etc.
Plaster Repair:
This service covers a wide range of jobs including patching in after the installation of new windows/doors/electrics/ plumbing/damp proof course etc. and repairs after accidental damage to walls and ceilings (knocks, bumps, chips, water damage, foot through ceiling etc). From smaller areas, full walls/ceilings to entire rooms, we can repair traditional lath and plaster, brickwork, plasterboard etc.
Artex & Textured Paint Concealment:
Depending on the depth of the Artex or textured paint we use an undercoat plaster, to level the surface, before skimming. Please be aware that some Artex and textured paints (most commonly those pre-1980) contain Asbestos. More information can be found regarding this on the UK Government’s Health and Safety Website.
